Shift Pattern and Compensation:This role operates on a double day shift (alternating earlies and lates weekly), with a 37-hour workweek.
Early Shift:
Mon – Thu: 06:00 – 14:15
Fri: 06:00 – 12:00
Late Shift:
Mon – Thu: 14:15 – 22:30
Fri: 12:00 – 18:00
Salary:
Basic Salary: £33,545 per annum
Shift Allowance (33%): £11,069.85
Total Salary: £44,614.85 per annum (including shift allowance)

What You'll Do:
Set, program, and operate CNC milling or turning machines to produce high-precision components.
Work in a low-volume production environment, manufacturing parts based on engineering drawings and specifications.
Manufacture or modify tooling, including jigs, fixtures, and moulds.
Use precision measuring equipment (micrometres, Vernier callipers) to ensure part accuracy.
Collaborate with production teams to meet production targets and timelines.
Log work times and maintain compliance using the Epicor ERP system.
Actively participate in lean initiatives, contributing to the continuous improvement of the workshop.
Ensure the highest levels of safety by following all health and safety procedures.
What We’re Looking for:
Essential:
Minimum of 5 years' experience as a CNC Machine Operator within engineering.
Strong understanding of ISO engineering drawings and ability to machine to tight tolerances.
Competent with measuring tools such as micrometres and Vernier callipers.
Basic IT skills, with experience using ERP systems (Epicor preferred).
Knowledge and practical application of 5S principles.
Desirable:
Time-served craft apprenticeship.
Experience with programming, setting, and operating CNC Vertical Mills (Winmax 5, Fanuc controls) or CNC Lathes (Mazatrol, Siemens control).
A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
