The Role
As our Transport Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day transport activities, ensuring timely delivery of goods, managing fleet operations, and leading a team of drivers and logistics coordinators. This is a strategic and hands-on role requiring strong leadership, analytical thinking, and a passion for logistics.
Transport Manager Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and manage transportation schedules and routes.
Supervise drivers, dispatchers, and administrative staff.
Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Optimize fleet performance and minimize transportation costs.
Monitor KPIs and prepare performance reports.
Oversee vehicle maintenance and service schedules.
Implement strategies for improved efficiency and customer satisfaction.Transport Manager Requirements
Proven experience as a Transport Manager or in a similar logistics/operations role.
In-depth knowledge of compliance regulations and transportation laws.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Proficient in transport management systems (TMS) and MS Office.
Ability to work under pressure and solve problems quickly.
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field (preferred).Desired Attributes
