We’re now looking for a Transport First Line Manager to lead our operations and drive success.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
* Take leadership responsibility for managing a safe and efficient transport environment.
* To maximise the performance of drivers and supervisors by directing the nightly, weekly and monthly activities.
* Analysing and understanding health and safety related risks for our colleagues, take action to reduce or eliminate these risks according to a prioritized plan
* Implement actions as directed to reduce or eliminate health and safety related risks
* Leverage Behavioural Based Safety (BBS) program as a daily way to confirm behaviors and processes
* Report and investigate incidents within the work place and respond to or escape issues of non compliance to safety regulations and procedures
* Implement and supervise the adherence of up to date processes, work instructions, standard operating procedures and associated forms to achieve prescribed outputs
* Continuously contribute to the improvement of procedures to better achieve the prescribed outputs
* Liaise with suppliers based on business requirements, monitor performance and where necessary, propose improvements to line manager and implement agreed improvement actions
* Participate in customer, regulatory and internal operational audits as required and work with the team to implement the agreed action plan
* Conduct regular reviews on operational performance and delivery against the agreed KPIs
* Escalate any areas of non compliance or failure to line manager and where applicable escape to the senior team
* Management of Subcontractorand help implement agreed processes to review performance,
* Leads regular operational performance reviews with colleagues with focus on H&S and Legal Compliance, overall efficiency of the operation in line with targets and performance via Performance Dialogs
