Beach Baker is delighted to be partnering with one of the UK's largest and most respected landowners to recruit an Area Building Surveyor. This rare client-side opportunity offers the chance to work at the heart of a major organisation, contributing to the stewardship of a diverse and historic property portfolio, many of which Grade 1 buildings.
The Role:
You'll play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the built estate. Your responsibilities will include:
Planning and overseeing both reactive and planned maintenance.
Procuring and supervising contractors.
Working closely with the Capital Development Team, which includes a Programme Manager, Project Manager, and Works Supervisor.
Supporting the delivery of renewable technologies and improving efficiency and sustainable building specifications to help us achieve net zero by 2040.
This is a varied and strategic role where your expertise will directly shape the future of the estate.

About You:
Minimum of 3 years' experience in building surveying.
Degree in property or construction (or equivalent).
MRICS or MCIOB qualified, or actively working towards membership.
Salary & Benefits:
Salary: £39,000 - £42,000 (pro rata for part-time)

This is a part-time position, working three days per week. The successful candidate will have the flexibility to choose which days they work, or alternatively, spread their hours across five days-ideal for those with young families or other personal commitments.
