The ideal candidate will have very good organisational skills and a background in logistics or warehouse operations. This role involves coordinating delivery schedules, managing inventory, and ensuring that all planning processes run smoothly. We will need our Planner to have excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments. Responsibilities Develop and maintain delivery schedules to ensure timely dispatch of goods. Coordinate with warehouse staff to manage inventory levels effectively. Utilise mechanical knowledge to assist in troubleshooting any issues related to equipment or logistics. Communicate effectively with drivers, ensuring they are informed of their routes and any changes. Oversee the planning of Curtain side Tail Lift deliveries, including Class 1, Class 2 and Van routes throughout the RH,KT, CR and SM Postcodes ensuring compliance with vehicle and safety regulations. All palletised Freight including Hazchem, Training given. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and inventory for reporting purposes. Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and improve efficiency. Requirements Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar logistics role is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge is advantageous for troubleshooting equipment issues. Warehouse experience, with an understanding of inventory management processes. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with team members and drivers. A valid commercial driving licence is preferred but not essential; however, candidates must be comfortable driving as part of their role. A Transport Management CPC Would be advantageous and attract a higher Salary. You will need a solid understanding of transportation regulations.
