We are seeking a Collibra Ranger / SME to drive the implementation, adoption, and continuous improvement of a data governance framework using the Collibra Data Intelligence Platform. This role will act as the bridge between business, data, and technology teams, ensuring that data assets are well-governed, discoverable, and trusted across the organisation.
* Configure, manage, and optimise the Collibra Data Intelligence Platform
* Maintain communities, domains, assets, and workflows
* Ensure metadata is structured, consistent, and aligned to governance standards
* Support and enforce data governance policies, standards, and frameworks
* Collaborate with Data Owners, Data Stewards, and Business SMEs
* Facilitate governance forums and decision‑making processes
* Oversee the data catalogue lifecycle (onboarding, classification, enrichment)
* Define and maintain business glossaries and data definitions
* Ensure lineage, ownership, and classification are captured accurately
* Act as a Collibra champion ("Ranger") across the business
* Train and support users to increase platform adoption
* Translate business requirements into Collibra solutions
* Work with data teams to monitor and improve data quality metrics
* Support regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., POPIA, GDPR where applicable)
* Ensure audit readiness through proper governance controls
* Collaborate with technical teams to integrate Collibra with:
o Data warehouses / data lakes
o BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)
o ETL/ELT pipelines
o Support API usage and automation where applicable
