The Role As a Senior Product Test Development Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, manufacture, verification, validation, and through-life support of test equipment at board, sub-system, and system level. You will work on complex electronic systems deployed across a range of demanding applications, contributing to technically challenging and safety-critical programmes. Key Responsibilities Design and develop functional test equipment for electronic systems Lead and support hardware/software integration and fault diagnosis Provide lifecycle and production support, including issue resolution and obsolescence management Work collaboratively across engineering disciplines to deliver scalable test solutions Lead design reviews and produce high-quality technical documentation Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers Required Experience Strong knowledge of analogue and digital electronic circuit design Ability to produce detailed technical design documentation Experience transferring designs into production environments Excellent hardware fault-finding and debugging skills Test software development experience Experience supporting and debugging system integration Eligibility for UK Security Clearance (minimum BPSS, ideally SC) Desirable Experience Significant industry experience in test development Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools Knowledge of common test architectures (e.g., PXI/LXI) Understanding of measurement uncertainty and its application in test equipment validation Experience with LabVIEW, CVI, TestStand, C# or similar software tools Mixed-signal circuit design High-speed serial networks RF electronics knowledge Power supply design experience What’s on Offer Competitive salary £7,500 Welcome / Joining Bonus Relocation support (where applicable) 37-hour working week with early Friday finish or compressed hours 25 days holiday public holidays, with buy/sell/rollover options Up to 5 paid volunteering days annually Contributory pension scheme (up to 10.5% employer contribution) Discretionary bonus scheme 6x salary life assurance Flexible benefits platform including Health Cash Plan, Dental, Cycle to Work and more Enhanced sick pay Enhanced family-friendly policies
