The Role

We operate from a modern, clean environment to support customers in the commercial, space, defence, transport, audio, motorsport, and instrumentation sectors. We are opening a new world-class facility and are looking for new talented people to join us on this exciting journey.
You will be working at a market-leading CEM operating highly sophisticated manufacturing equipment, ranging from solder jet printers, Mycronic pick and place machines, X-ray and numerous reflow ovens and responsible for the manufacturing of complex PCBA products to IPC class level 3.
Working within a team of engineers, you will need to be fully conversant with the SMT/surface mount assembly process. Experience in such equipment is required but training on specific equipment will be provided.
Technicians need a complete understanding of components and packages, process line operation, inspection and working with technical documentation. Understanding thermal reflow profiles, ESD and basic machine maintenance is integral to the operation.
Responsibilities
* On/Off line set up of inventory & materials to SMT placement equipment
* On/Off line set up of equipment such as printing, placement, reflow equipment & buffers/loaders
* Running and managing Mycronic automated production lines
* First off approval and change process
* Running Mycronic Jet Printers
* Operating ovens such as, Asscon, BTU and ERSA hotflow/N2
* Working with line optimisation software
* Ability to understand and enact build instructions and associated drawings
* Comprehension of component package types, orientation, MSL handling and ESD
* Completing machine calibrations and routing maintenance
* IT literate and able to use internal software applications
About you
* Strong communication skills in a technical environment
* Engineering bias
* Flexible and adaptable with attention to detail
* Experienced in using a recognised SMT platform – Micronics / Europlacer or similar
* Comprehension of IPC standards/previous or current certification
* Experience and understanding thermal profiles
* Experience using X-Ray equipment would be advantageous
