Project Manager - Live Events Production
London with UK Travel | Up to £65,000 pa + Benefits
A growing Live Events Production business is looking for a Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex live events across the UK, ideally from a Technical background but this is not essential depending on experience in the industry.
This company produces large scale corporate events, brand activations, product launches and awards shows for well known organisations. Their work combines creative production with high level technical delivery across audio, video, lighting and staging.
They are now looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership of projects from early planning through to show day who might also have a bit of a Technical grasp as well.
The Role
You will manage the planning and delivery of live events, working closely with production teams, venues, technicians and clients.
Projects range from conferences and brand activations to large scale productions in high profile venues.
Responsibilities include:
* Planning technical requirements for live events
* Creating equipment lists across audio, video and lighting
* Preparing technical documentation and event schedules
* Managing project budgets and delivery timelines
* Liaising with venues, suppliers and internal teams
* Preparing RAMS and health and safety documentation
During event delivery you will:
* Brief technical teams and freelance crew
* Manage installation and rehearsals on site
* Oversee technical delivery during the live event
* Act as the key technical contact for the client
* Troubleshoot technical issues during build and show
You will often be managing several projects simultaneously at different stages of production.
About You
You will come from a background within live events or production, ideally from a Technical side.
You may currently work as a Senior AV Technician, Production Manager, Technical Manager or Technical Project Manager and want to take greater ownership of projects.
You should have:
* Experience within live events, production or technical AV delivery
* Good understanding of audio, video, lighting or staging systems
* Experience creating equipment lists or technical specifications
* Strong organisation and planning skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
* Confidence working on site during build and live events
* Excellent communication with clients, crew and suppliers
