Hours:
· Week 1: Monday – Wednesday (5:00pm – 7:00am)
· Week 2: Monday – Thursday (5:00pm – 7:00am)
(Rolling rota pattern)
Location: Hull
Salary: £[minimum wage equivalent] – £24,000 - £25,500k per annum (depending on experience)
About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Night Support Worker to provide housing and wellbeing support to our residents overnight. The role ensures a safe, supportive, and structured environment while promoting independence and wellbeing.
The shift runs from 5:00pm to 7:00am. Staff are able to sleep between 2:00am and 7:00am, but must remain on site in case support is required.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide practical and emotional support to residents during the evening and night hours.
· Carry out routine health & safety, welfare, and security checks within the property.
· Respond appropriately to emergencies, incidents, or safeguarding concerns.
· Maintain accurate records, reports, and handovers for day staff.
· Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and engagement in support plans.
· Ensure professional boundaries and confidentiality at all times.
About You
· Previous experience in supported housing, care, or support work is desirable but not essential.
· Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively to challenging situations.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Reliable, organised, and able to work independently during unsupervised night shifts.
· Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, and equality & diversity principles.
