Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting passionate and dedicated SEN Teachers to work in a variety of specialist provisions and inclusive schools across Northampton. We are offering both flexible supply opportunities and longer-term positions with full teaching responsibilities, providing options to suit different career goals and availability.
These roles offer the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pupils with additional needs while working within supportive school environments. Many of the schools we work with support pupils with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and moderate to complex learning difficulties.
Key Responsibilities (for full responsibility roles):
* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs
* Adapt teaching strategies to support pupils with a variety of special educational needs
* Assess and monitor pupil progress in line with school expectations
* Complete marking and provide constructive feedback to support student development
* Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, and pastoral teams
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to student reviews where required
* Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
Supply roles may include:
* Delivering pre-planned lessons across SEN settings
* Supporting pupils with additional needs in a structured classroom environment
* Maintaining positive classroom management and engagement
The ideal candidate will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
* Have experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs (desirable)
* Demonstrate strong classroom management and adaptability
* Be compassionate, patient, and committed to inclusive education
* Be able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
