We are seeking a proactive and organized Floor Manager to join our Conference & Events team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will oversee the setup, execution, and breakdown of events, ensuring all function spaces are presented to the highest standard and that guest expectations are met. You will lead the floor team, coordinate with other departments, and ensure smooth event operations from start to finish.

The key responsibilities of theFloor Manager include:
* Oversee the set-up, delivery, and breakdown of all conferences, meetings, and events in line with client specifications and hotel standards
* Lead, motivate, and support the floor team to ensure efficient and professional service throughout all events
* Liaise closely with the Events team, Kitchen, and other departments to ensure smooth coordination and timely execution
* Conduct pre-event checks to ensure all rooms are clean, fully equipped, and presented to a high standard
* Be the main point of contact on the floor during events, handling guest requests and resolving any issues promptly
* Monitor staff performance and provide on-the-job training as needed to maintain high service standards
* Ensure health & safety, fire regulations, and hygiene standards are consistently adhered to
* Assist with inventory control and ensure all equipment is properly stored and maintained
Preferred Skills and Experience
* Previous experience in a similar role within a hotel, conference centre, or events venue
* Strong leadership and team supervision skills
* Excellent organisational and time management abilities
* Confident in handling client interactions and delivering high levels of guest service
* Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
* Good understanding of event operations, including room set-ups, AV coordination, and service flow
* Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with multiple departments
* Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as required
* Knowledge of health & safety and hygiene regulations in an events environment
* Attention to detail and a proactive, hands-on approach
