Are you an experienced Social Worker who is passionate about improving outcomes for children in care by supporting and developing foster carers? Bradford Metropolitan District Council is seeking a dedicated Fostering Social Worker to join our Fostering Service. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in ensuring children and young people are placed in safe, stable, and nurturing foster homes where they can thrive. About the Role As a Fostering Social Worker, you will work as part of a supportive and committed fostering team, responsible for recruiting, assessing, training, and supporting foster carers across Bradford. You will play a vital role in ensuring that foster carers are well prepared and supported to meet the needs of children and young people, helping to build placement stability and long-term positive outcomes. This is a dynamic and varied role that combines assessment, supervision, support, and partnership working with a strong focus on achieving permanence and improving the lived experience of children in care.
