Multi Skilled Engineer – Night Shift
Location: Humdinger, Heckington (NG34 9JZ)
Position type: Full time, permanent
Hours: 36 per week
Shift Pattern: 3 on 4 off nights, 1800 - 0600 (rotating between Month 1 Monday - Wednesday & Month 2 Thursday - Saturday)
Pay range: £27.53 per hour (£51,536.16 annually)

Responsibilities
* Carry out mechanical and electrical maintenance, including breakdowns and planned preventative tasks.
* Perform machine setups for production runs and ensure safe, compliant working practices.
* Complete maintenance documentation and support site projects as required.
* Manage engineering stores, order spares, and control contractors.
* Work collaboratively with production, quality, and site management teams.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives and uphold high standards of health & safety and food industry compliance.
Essential Qualifications
* Formal Electrical/Mechanical qualifications – NVQ Level 3 or equivalent minimum.
* Time-served engineering experience with strong fault‑finding skills.
* Manufacturing experience.
* Knowledge of FMCG processes and GMP standards.
* Experience with Form Fill & Seal machines, ovens, fryers, check weighers, X‑ray machines, printers, robot packing machines, multi‑head weighers, and inline sealing machines.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Basic PC skills.
* Full, valid driving license.
Desirable Qualifications
* NVQ Level 4 or HNC or equivalent.
* FLT or MEWP trained.
* 18th Edition and testing/inspection experience.
* PLC fault‑finding and understanding of RCA/5 Why processes.
* IOSH/NEBOSH certification.
* Experience with CI projects and food industry environments.
* 20 days holiday entitlement.
