About the team
The Facilities Management team keep our operational accommodation clean, safe and working efficiently; making sure that it is maintained in the optimum condition within available budgets in order HCC staff can deliver their services.
This role report to the Technical Supervisor - Stevenage.
This role can see the postholder liaising with any users of the buildings including staff from all Directorates, members so the public, contractors and sub-contractors.
About the role
* The delivery of building / plant planned servicing, testing and checks at a number of sites
* Dealing with breakdowns and reactive maintenance at a number of sites
* Deliver work in line with all relevant health and safety legislation
* Deliver targets on time
* Liaising with contractors and sub-contractors undertaking work at sites you look after
You will work closely with FM colleagues to share and document all required data in relation to all work the team undertake.
About you
Essential
* Ability to drive in order to deliver services at multiple locations
* Experience in mechanical, electrical or plumbing / heating
* Strong oral and written communications skills
* Hold or working towards IOSH Working or Managing Safely and a good understanding of H&S legislation and codes of practice
* An understanding of property management issues
* Ability to understand O&M manuals, technical drawings, manufacturers literature
Desirable
* Good communication skills
* IT literate and ability to use CAFM and other M&E based systems
* Understanding of H&S related paperwork including SSoW, RAMS, PTW, COSHH, Hot Works
* Knowledge of testing and inspection equipment, hand tools, electrical tools
This is an interactive and rewarding role working with the wider FM team to deliver services that have a positive impact on the work of HCC staff, allowing them to deliver their services in safe and well maintained facilities.
