Paralegal – Commercial Property Our client is seeking a Paralegal to join their Commercial Property team in Southampton. The department is recognised as an outstanding and highly regarded team across the South of England, known for delivering pragmatic, solution-focused legal advice across all aspects of property law. The ideal candidate will have: • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and a busy caseload • High attention to detail and accuracy • Excellent IT and keyboard skills • The ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills • Previous residential conveyancing or plot sales experience (essential) Principal duties and responsibilities: Pre-Exchange: • Preparing contract packs for buyer’s solicitors • Managing and responding to enquiries • Maintaining a library of precedent replies for each development • Liaising closely with the developer client’s representatives to provide updates Exchange of Contracts (under supervision): • Liaising with the client to confirm completion dates • Notifying all relevant parties, including the client, agents, and lenders, once exchange takes place • Producing completion statements for both buyer and client Completion : • Liaising with lenders regarding completion requirements • Ensuring clients receive and return signed documentation • Preparing buyer completion documentation and confirming readiness for completion • Notifying agents upon completion and arranging settlement of commission • Managing file closure procedures This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected and forward-thinking property team, working on high-quality developments with experienced professionals in a supportive environment.
