You will be based in Uttoxeter & Burton (East Staffordshire).
Main Responsibilities
As an Advanced Social Worker at Staffordshire, you'll support and coach our Social Workers, focusing on quality practice and positive outcomes for children and families.
In the Assessment & Staying Together teams, you'll:
* Manage complex cases involving children
* Assist in care management, decision-making, and guidance on child in need, child protection, and care proceedings, in consultation with the manager, and chair strategy meetings
* Coordinate and facilitate team supervision
* Promote multi-agency service delivery and restorative practices
* Ensure team performance meets key service objectives
* Mentor colleagues through complex cases and support the development of newly qualified social workers
* Oversee practice placements and manage workload for social work students
* Supervise unqualified staff, including students and sessional workers, and identify training needs
* Lead or contribute to projects as directed
The Ideal Candidate
Our Advanced Social Workers should be:
* Qualified Social Workers with post-qualifying experience
* Registered with Social Work England
* Possess a UK driving license and access to a vehicle
Above all, you should have a passion for working with children and families, aiming to provide the right support at the right time to keep families together safely.
