A vacancy has arisen for a Squadron Leader (Any Profession) to serve as COS and Spec CM at RAF High Wycombe on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of 05 January 2026. Career Management (CM) is a 1* pillar within Director People AoR providing comprehensive oversight of career and talent management for both Regular and Reserve personnel. Our primary role is to harmonise individual career aspirations with Service requirements to sustain operational effectiveness. Role: COS and Spec CM for Chaplain Profession (OF2-OF4), Legal Officers OF4 and Musician OF4 incumbent will work directly to AH CM Ground (Supervising Officer) and to SO1 Eng Logs and Cyber (Line Manager) providing a COS function across AH CM Ground AoR and support wider Executive Team. The successful applicant will also be required to act as Specialist CM for the Chaplain Profession OF2-OF4, Legal Officers OF4 and Musician OF4. Future possibility of mid-tour changes to position responsibilities including removal of OF4 cohort from role. The successful candidate will be required to undertake the Career Management Induction Module (CMIM), if not already completed. The post is responsible for the following: Executive Support across CM Ground to AH CM Ground and the Executive Team. Co-ordinate of FGen and other Tasks across AH CM Ground AoR. Coordinate H&A across the AoR. Co-ordinate CS ERS and TY Scheme. Coordinate routine staffing activity across Career Management (Ground) staffs. Act as Secretary for AH CM Ground Exec Meetings and other meetings as required. Act as Information Asset Custodian (IAC) for AH CM Ground. Role is liable for call-out under Op PARAPET (augmentation of JCCC in mass casualty event) Cover urgent actions only for the OF3 Any Desk in the absence of SO2 incumbent. Routine Specialist CM function to Chaplaincy (OF2 - OF4), Musician Profession OF4 and Legal Profession OF4 Pre-boarding, Boarding and post Board activity for the No3 CSB and No2 PSB Administration and Co-ordination of the Commissioned Warrant Officer (CWO) application process and selection Board (two Boards per year) Be prepared to represent the OF4 and OF5 as required and undertake other tasks as directed, iaw your rank and role. Whilst the role is located at RAF High Wycombe there are opportunities for flexible working practices, these will be negotiated with the LM and AH CM Ground. In addition to All in Weeks (two a year) the relevant PSB/CSBs will also require the incumbent to be physically present in the office.
