Experience, Training and Qualifications Required
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Essential
* Strong subject knowledge in History and Politics
* Proven experience teaching across Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5
* Previous leadership experience (Head of Department or 2iC) Desirable but not essential
* A passion for driving academic excellence and supporting student progress
* Reliable, committed, and enthusiastic about contributing to school life
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the History & Politics department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning across all key stages
* Support curriculum development and help raise attainment within the subjects
* Mentor and support teachers within the department
* Contribute to whole-school initiatives and strategic planning
