Job Purpose: A qualified Quality Engineer with experience of developing and implementing quality and business improvements to maximise production, profitability, and customer service within an Aerospace manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have good commercial awareness and excellent communication skills, with the ability to develop business relationships to promote growth within the company whilst maintaining quality standards. The role requires an initiative-taking individual who is able to work without supervision and can make effective decisions to minimise quality-related problems. Role Purpose To manage and maintain all company and customer-owned tooling, ensuring it is serviceable, compliant and available to support production, whilst also supporting product verification activities through inspection and quality control. The role ensures tooling is controlled, calibrated where required and fit for purpose, and that product inspections are carried out in line with company and customer requirements. Role Summary The QI & Tooling Engineer is responsible for the control, maintenance, calibration and repair of all tooling, alongside supporting inspection activities within the manufacturing environment. The role includes performing product inspections, verifying conformity to specifications, and ensuring that tooling used in production is maintained in a controlled condition. The position supports both operational delivery and product quality by combining tooling management with hands-on inspection capability.
