The RCM are looking to recruit an Orchestra Manager to lead the delivery of the orchestra and large ensemble performance programme. The role is based within the busy Performance & Programming team and involves working closely with students, staff, professors and orchestral musicians. The orchestra and large ensemble programme includes performances by Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonic, Opera orchestra, New Perspectives, Jazz Orchestra, Wind Ensemble and Brass Ensemble. • Maintaining RCM relationships with professional musicians and orchestras
The postholder will be required to work proactively and creatively on a large variety of different projects running simultaneously, maintain a high level of attention to detail and have the ability to remain calm under pressure. A strong working knowledge of classical music and associated performance requirements is desirable.
