Here at Profiles Personnel, we are supporting Birdworld in recruiting a Play Barn and Catering Team Lead as they grow. This role offers a salary of up to £32,000 per annum with a range of benefits after probation, including a pension scheme, free onsite parking, an employee assistance service, optician cover, full uniform, staff discount and holiday increasing with service.
Hours: 37.5 per week, 5 days per week. 09:00 – 17:00 with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. One fixed day off during the week and alternating weekends. Flexibility to change hours to meet business needs.

What you’ll be doing as Play Barn & Catering Team Lead at Birdworld
* Be responsible for the efficient and smooth running of the catering operations across the park and the guest experience in the Play Barn, providing effective leadership to the team and ensuring a high level of guest service and experience.
* Drive catering performance across the park to meet sales and margin targets and to remain within budget.
* Recruit, train and develop the team; motivate staff to achieve department objectives within budget.
* Manage and monitor induction and probation periods within Company standards.
* Weekly rota scheduling and daily task allocation; adjust catering team levels to meet guest/business needs and labour cost/headcount parameters.
* Set up kitchen equipment and Front of House; perform temperature checks and food preparation to meet quality standards and menu specifications.
* Ensure catering equipment works correctly and report issues promptly; coordinate servicing as required.
* Coordinate and prepare the party space, greet and host party groups in the Play Barn.
* Monitor appropriate use and behaviour of play facilities, ensuring they are maintained and managed accordingly.
What we’re looking for
* Food Safety Level 3 minimum.
* First Aid At Work (or willingness to undertake).
* Willingness to undergo a Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) basic check.
* Experience in food service or hospitality leadership.
* Knowledge and understanding of food hygiene within a commercial environment.
* IT system/database experience.
* Experience of visitor attractions (desirable).
