An exciting temporary vacancy has been created within our Chester Area Highways team as part of the Transport and Highways service.
This vacancy is for 18 months as a Grade 6 Claims Technician based in the Chester Area Highways Office Claims Team and you will on occasions be asked to work from other offices around the Borough.
Highways are recruiting for a Claims Technician to join our team on an 18-month fixed term contract. As a Temporary Claims Technician, you will support the effective and timely resolution of claims by working closely with our Claims Handler and Claims team. This role involves engaging with various stakeholders, managing and inputting claim related data, and supporting decision making processes to help protect the interests of Cheshire West Highways.
About the Job
This is a hybrid role requiring attendance at our Chester office for a minimum of two days per week.
• Receive and process new claims, ensuring accurate input into administrative systems to support audit trails.
• Support straightforward claims, collaborating with stakeholders to gather necessary evidence and provide informed recommendations.
• Support the progress of unresolved claims by uploading documents from our internal systems to the secure storage system of our external litigation partner.
About You
• Experience of handling public data for claims or third-party cases.
• Excellent organisation skills and ability to prioritise.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel or other software input systems.
• Strong attention to detail to identify inconsistencies or missing information.
