Location: Fareham, Hampshire, PO15 6SA
Business Area: Transportation
Contract: Permanent, Full Time (39 hours per week)
Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Highways Maintenance Operative, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of the Area 3 network. Your daily tasks will include:
* Carrying out highways maintenance duties, including winter maintenance when necessary.
* Responding promptly to incidents on the network.
* Promoting customer care by working closely with team members to ensure courteous interactions with clients and network users.
* Conducting daily defect reports on vehicles and ensuring they are well-maintained.
* Notifying the Regional Network Hub Control Centre about winter maintenance and roadspace occupation for traffic management.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you possess:
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* A valid UK Driving Licence.
* Experience and knowledge of strict health and safety operations.
* The ability to work night shifts (with payment uplift).
