Warehouse Operative (night shift)
Location: Eastleigh
Pay rate: £12.21 (goes up after 12weeks - £13.54)
Job Type: Full time, ongoing Working Hours: 6:00pm-2:45am Monday – Thursday, 4:00pm-10:00pm Friday
Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative / Order Picker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking, packing, and dispatching customer orders, maintaining a clean and safe warehouse environment, and assisting with general warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Accurately pick and pack customer orders based on pick lists and dispatch instructions
* Use handheld scanners and other technology to manage inventory
* Load and unload goods from delivery vehicles
* Move stock around the warehouse using manual handling or forklift (if qualified)
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace
* Perform stock checks and report discrepancies
* Follow health and safety procedures at all times
* Support with incoming deliveries and goods-in processes
* Work efficiently to meet targets and deadlines
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is desirable but not essential
* Good attention to detail and accuracy
* Physically fit and able to lift/move heavy items
* Able to work well independently and as part of a team
* Flexible and willing to work additional hours or shifts when required
* Basic literacy and numeracy skills
