Role Overview:
As part of the essential front-line operations service, you will join a collaborative and welcoming team responsible for completing planned and reactive work to a high standard and schedule. Your role ensures assets are operated and maintained effectively across various sites, and customers are kept informed throughout works. You will ensure all activities align with contractual agreements and internal procedures. This is a customer-facing role based in/around Hampshire, including participation in an out-of-hours rota on a 1-in-4 basis.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Operating and maintaining clean and wastewater assets and networks
* Ensuring sufficient supplies of wholesome potable water and water resources
* Providing mobile reactive maintenance and repair within your operational area
* Recording accurate information and feedback in real-time using portable IT equipment
* Traveling to different sites regularly and reading meters
* Participating in a regional on-call rota for out-of-hours support
What You'll Bring:
* Mechanical skills, knowledge, or practical experience in a similar role
* Intermediate IT skills and experience with various IT software and devices
* Strong written and verbal communication skills for working with customers and colleagues
* Comfort working with chemicals and gases once trained
* Ability to build and develop relationships at all levels with internal and external contacts
* Willingness to work in confined spaces and outdoors in all weather conditions
About You:
Due to site requirements, the successful candidate must:
* Meet security clearance requirements, including residency in the UK for the past 5 years
* Obtain Security Clearance involving a Criminal Record Check and MoD Security Application
* Hold a valid driving license and be comfortable driving a van
