Currently, we are recruiting for an After School Club Childcare Playwork Assistant at Buryfields Infant School in Odiham, Hook (RG29).
This part-time, term-time role involves working Monday to Thursday from 2.55pm to 6.00pm.
The role
As an After School Club Childcare Playwork Assistant, you will support the After School Club Manager in ensuring the club operates safely and efficiently while actively engaging children aged 4-11 in fun and enriching activities.
You will assist in delivering a variety of play activities such as Arts & Crafts, Sports, and Team Games, fostering a safe environment that promotes exploration, growth, and fun.
Responsibilities
* Assist the After School Club Manager in running the club safely and efficiently at Buryfields Infant School.
* Help set up, organize, and deliver daily activities, encouraging children to participate.
* Support in preparing, serving, and tidying snack time.
* Be sensitive to children with additional needs (Physical, Behavioural, Dietary).
* Build strong relationships with children, ensuring they have an enjoyable experience.
* Understand and adhere to Ofsted standards and KOOSA Kids policies, including safeguarding.
* Keep activity areas clean and tidy at the end of each day.
Skills & Experience
* A passion or interest in working within childcare, early years, or playwork settings.
* A fun, energetic, and reliable nature.
* Effective communication skills with colleagues and children.
* Ability to relate to children aged 4-11 years.

* Full training and induction will be provided.
This role is suitable for those with experience in primary schools, pre-schools, or nurseries, such as Teaching Assistants, Early Years Educators, or Nursery Assistants, or those seeking to enter the childcare industry.
