People Business Partner (12 month Fixed Term Contract) – Milton Keynes, United Kingdom
We’re searching for an experienced People Business Partner to join our team on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract, based in Milton Keynes (office days are Tuesday and Wednesday).
This is an exciting time to come on board. Our People Team is evolving into a true strategic partner to the business – shaping better people decisions, enabling leaders, and driving lasting impact. This role goes far beyond policies and processes. You’ll be hands-on in a lean team, with the opportunity to influence senior leaders and work across a wide range of people topics. We’re particularly keen to meet someone with a strong Employee Relations background who can help us strengthen and scale a progressive, sustainable business partnering function. Experience in a fast-moving tech environment would be a real bonus.
What you’ll do
* Acting as a trusted advisor to business leaders, guiding them on HR-related matters to align with their objectives.
* Addressing and resolving employee concerns and conflicts, fostering a fair, positive, and inclusive workplace culture.
* Providing expert advice and managing HR processes like disciplinary, grievance, and appeal procedures.
* Coaching and supporting managers to drive meaningful performance conversations.
* Analysing people data to uncover trends, inform decisions, and drive business outcomes.
* Ensuring compliance with employment laws and staying up to date with best practices.
* Supporting change management initiatives, including restructures and future business needs.
* Leading and driving projects that make a real difference to our team and the wider business.
What you’ll bring to the role
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Proven experience as a People Business Partner.
* Demonstrated success in managing complex employee relations cases.
* Strong analytical skills – you’ll love using data to drive decisions.
* A knack for managing projects from start to finish.
* Confidence in building relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
* A natural ability to resolve conflicts and drive positive outcomes.
