Are you an experienced research nurse looking to make a real impact in oncology? Join our prostate research team at the West Wing Clinical Research Centre as a Band 6 Research Nurse. You will lead patient care across an expanding portfolio of clinical trials, from study set-up to treatment delivery and follow-up. Responsibilities
* Work under the supervision of the senior research nurse or Study Site Coordinators (SSC) and play a key role in the day‑to‑day running of clinical trials within the Trust.
* Recruit, educate and monitor patients entering a clinical trial.
* Provide advice and information to patients and act as their advocate.
* Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of data derived from research studies.
* Ensure that research undertaken safeguards patient wellbeing and is conducted within ICH Good Clinical Practice Guidelines for Research.
* Contribute to the development of trial design and incorporate patient and nurse perspectives.
* Liaise with pharmaceutical companies and academic institutions during trial development.
Qualifications
* Experienced research nurse, Level Band 6 requisition.
* Strong understanding of clinical trial processes and Good Clinical Practice.
* Excellent communication skills with patients, investigators and multidisciplinary team members.
