Salary: £12.60 per hour (£24,638 per annum pro rata). Permanent, part time (18.75 hours per week). Location: Cumbria, England, United Kingdom. We can’t offer a CoS for this role.
This is a great opportunity to support older residents in Cumbria with housing and property matters, ensuring safe homes and well‑managed tenancies.
Responsibilities
* Support older residents, many of whom receive care from Lakeland Carers, the on‑site team.
* Assist customers with housing benefit claims and rent account management.
* Maintain full occupancy and accurate rent records.
* Conduct routine safety and compliance checks across buildings and communities.
* Handle administrative tasks including record updates, work orders, and payment processing.
* Collaborate with the care team to promote social engagement and purposeful living.
Qualifications & Skills
* A people‑first mindset and ideally some experience in property management, compliance, or health & safety.
* A proactive, organised approach with a “can do” attitude.
* Passion for excellent customer service and genuine care for others.
* Confidence working independently and influencing diverse groups.
* Strong collaboration skills across teams and with external partners.
* A love for property and pride in creating homes customers are proud of.
The practical bits
* Flexible around work hours or open to agreeing a work pattern.
* Must be able to use technology for creating and updating Health and Safety records, making benefit claims and handling tenancy sign‑ups.
* Occasionally cover other schemes or attend team meetings – you’ll need a vehicle insured for business purposes; mileage will be paid.
* Enhanced DBS check required – we cover the cost.
