Design Manager (Electrical Power Distribution)
Location: South East England (hybrid)
Up to £96,000 + car and benefits
* Leading design delivery across both internal and external teams
* Setting and managing safety, commercial, and operational targets
* Taking ownership of the commercial performance of design projects
* Monitoring progress against internal objectives and stakeholder expectations
* Building and maintaining strong working relationships with key partners
* Supporting, developing, and growing your design team to meet evolving project needs
* Planning workloads to align with customer and project requirements
* Preparing detailed design programmes and cost forecasts
What You’ll Bring
* Experience leading teams within engineering, utilities, or distribution network environments
* Strong people-management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire
* Chartered Engineer status (or equivalent professional experience)
* Familiarity with ISO9001, ISO14001, and OHSAS 18001 standards
* Solid understanding of CDM Regulations and the responsibilities of the Designer
* Knowledge of protection and control schemes for 11kV–132kV networks
* Confidence in design management and commercial decision-making
* Bonus: experience working within an alliance or joint-venture environment
