Position Overview
The Autodesk Technical Advisory consulting organization is looking for an accomplished and enthusiastic individual to join our APAC Consulting Services team as a Principal Business Consultant for construction. As a Principal Business Consultant, you will use your construction industry and technical knowledge to help our customers put innovative design, engineering, and construction solutions into real world practice.
You will work directly with our most strategic customers to develop their digital and data strategies, define criteria for success, assess current processes and project performance, create business value justifications for initiatives, and prepare to implement solutions that produce meaningful business results. Providing these services will ensure customers are maximizing the value from their investment in Autodesk technologies and ensuring the success of transformational changes to their business. Reporting to the Consulting Services manager for ANZ, this is a hybrid role where you can work remotely or onsite at an Autodesk office.
Responsibilities
1. Work with Autodesk’s largest customers on innovative construction solutions related to document management, data management, field workflows, handover/ turnover and more
2. Analysis, improvement and implementation of processes and workflows
3. Lead consulting engagements with customers, including discovery process to understand business challenges and requirements and document the proposed value during those engagements
4. Contribute to task estimation and scoping including scope clarification with customers
5. Apply change management knowledge to the deployment of Autodesk solutions
6. Collaborate with internal account teams and customers on how Autodesk solutions fit into broader programs of work
7. Be a 'trusted advisor' to the customer
8. Keep updated with technology trends affecting customers
9. Represent Autodesk solutions at conferences, in whitepapers and blogs
Minimum Qualifications
10. Bachelor's degree in construction management or architecture / engineering (or equivalent experience)
11. Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on experience in the construction industry, with a focus on the development and delivery of digital solutions
12. Experience of the following construction industry processes such as Document Management / Project Management / Quality Management / Safety Management / Handover / Scheduling / Cost Management
13. Excellent communication skills including experience conducting workshops, facilitating meetings, and delivering impactful presentations
14. Ability to drive decisions and closure on issues
15. Proven ability to work with diverse technical, sales, and project delivery teams including breaking down complex topics into a common language
16. Willingness to travel 30% of the time, including international travel
Preferred Qualifications
17. Autodesk product expertise (Forma, Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360)
18. Knowledge of competitor solutions in the construction industry
19. Advanced experience developing and implementing workflow processes between architects, designers, engineers, contractors, and owners
20. Experience using Autodesk products such as Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and InfraWorks
21. Experience driving change at the enterprise level
22. Familiarity with ISO 19650
23. An interest and experience in AI, data strategy, and data management

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on discretionary annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock or long-term incentive cash grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
