Responsible Marketing Advisory are seeking a Media Planning Operations Project Director for a 9 month contract, starting November 2025, to partner in leading the operational transformation and implementation of a comprehensive media planning, activation and attribution tool across multiple markets outside of the US.


In a nutshell:

This senior-level position requires extensive experience in media operations, digital transformation, and driving operational excellence within complex, multinational organisations. The role will be working on a hybrid basis between the client and Responsible Marketing Advisory London offices and will work into the client Global Media Strategy Lead, as well as RMA’s CSO


As the operational lead, you'll drive the end-to-end integration of the tool into local media planning operations, working hands-on with planning teams to ensure seamless adoption. You'll work directly with senior stakeholders across Brand and Media teams, as well as agency partners, translating strategic vision into operational reality, establishing new workflows, and embedding the tool into day-to-day planning activities across markets.


What you'll bring:

Essential:

* Demonstrable experience implementing findings from MMM (Marketing Mix Modelling) and MTA (Multi-Touch Attribution) methodologies.
* Familiarity with media planning tools and technologies.
* Experience with media measurement tools and attribution platforms.
* Strong understanding of media planning processes, workflows, and the practical challenges planners face day-to-day
* Extensive experience creating, interpreting and translating outputs of measurement frameworks.
* Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across all levels of management.


Desirable:

* Experience implementing media measurement or planning tools across multiple markets.
* Knowledge of programmatic media buying, attribution technologies, and audience targeting platforms.
* Experience working with global media agencies and understanding agency operating models.
* Understanding of data governance, privacy requirements, and technical integration processes.
* Experience in change management within media or marketing organizations.



What you'll be delivering:


Key Responsibilities

* Partner to lead delivery of the media planning tool rollout, ensuring seamless integration into existing planning workflows across multiple international markets.
* Assess current planning operating models at local market level and refine the target operating model for tool integration and operational effectiveness.
* Work hands-on with local planning teams to establish new workflows, processes, and ways of working that leverage the tool's capabilities.
* Drive excellence by identifying inefficiencies and opportunities to streamline planning processes through the new tool.
* Coordinate activities across markets with varying levels of media planning maturity and technical readiness, ensuring consistent operational standards.
* Identify macro-opportunities to leverage data insights within partnerships


Capability Building & Education

* Co-design capability development plans in partnership with the clients' capabilities team and external tool partner.
* Develop and execute comprehensive user adoption plans, working directly with planning teams to drive consistent tool usage.
* Build strong relationships with local market planning teams, understanding their needs and tailoring the implementation approach accordingly.
* Facilitate hands-on training sessions, workshops, and working groups that enable planners to confidently use the tool in their daily work.
* Identify and address barriers to adoption through direct engagement with users and iterative problem-solving.
* Track adoption metrics and user feedback, continuously refining the approach to maximize engagement and effectiveness.


Media Planning Process Design

* Design and implement new planning processes that leverage the tool's measurement and attribution capabilities.
* Create operational frameworks that connect tool outputs to planning decisions, activation strategies, and performance optimization.
* Develop practical guidance, templates, and playbooks that enable planners to integrate the tool into their workflow.
* Establish quality standards and operational best practices for tool usage across different planning scenarios.
* Partner with agency teams to align operational processes and ensure consistent tool application across client and agency planning.


Stakeholder Engagement & Influence

* Coordinate technical integration requirements with data teams, and external tool partners to ensure seamless system functionality.
* Work with data and analytics teams to ensure measurement outputs are accessible, accurate, and actionable for planning teams.
* Troubleshoot operational issues and work with technical teams to resolve
* Optimise tool configuration and settings based on market-specific needs and planning requirements.
* Ensure data governance standards are understood and followed by planning teams using the tool.


Governance & Performance Tracking

* Working with key stakeholders to establish governance frameworks monitoring adoption, performance, and impact of the new measurement ecosystem.
* Partner to Define KPIs and success metrics to track progress and continuously optimise implementation strategies.
* Establish operational governance frameworks to monitor tool usage, adoption patterns, and business impact.
* Gather ongoing feedback from planning teams and identify opportunities for operational enhancement.
* Report on operational progress, challenges, and wins to senior stakeholders and leadership teams.
