Refuse Loader (Grade 3) - Building Services & Maintenance Description We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Refuse Loader (Grade 3) to join our Building Services & Maintenance team. Responsibilities Collect and load refuse from designated areas promptly and efficiently. Ensure proper segregation and disposal of waste according to established guidelines. Operate garbage collection equipment safely and following standard procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organization of refuse collection points and vehicles. Report any health, safety, or equipment issues to the supervisor immediately. Assist in routine maintenance and inspections of waste collection tools and machinery. Collaborate effectively with Building Services & Maintenance team members to optimize refuse management. Requirements Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy loads and prolonged standing. Basic knowledge of waste segregation and disposal protocols. Willingness to adhere strictly to health and safety guidelines. Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors. Reliability and punctuality in attendance and task completion. Experience in refuse collection or similar roles is preferred but not mandatory. Ability to work in various weather conditions and adapt to changing operational needs.
