Marine Water Quality Officer – 32656
Join the Environment Agency as a Marine Water Quality Officer and contribute to cleaner waters and a thriving environment.
Responsibilities
* Review reports and summarise key information for decision‑making.
* Use data to inform water quality models.
* Apply sound records management principles.
* Interpret monitoring data and model outputs to support environmental protection.
* Summarise and communicate technical work and, when needed, escalates challenges.
* Build strong relationships within the dispersed team and with external partners.
* Use initiative to contribute to the work of the team and wider organisation.
* Take on incident management duties with full training and support.
Qualifications
* Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, or working towards professional membership.
* Experience in data analysis and familiarity with modelling software.
* Proficiency with Excel, Access, R, Power BI, GIS, and specialist packages such as Mike or Cormix.
* Comfortable working in a virtual team and travelling for occasional national meetings.
