The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde as a Senior Organisational Development Advisor within Specialist Children’s Services, supporting Community Paediatrics, CAMHS and Acute Paediatrics. You will play a key role in shaping and delivering innovative organisational development initiatives that directly improve outcomes for children, young people and families. Working alongside senior leaders, you will influence culture, leadership and service transformation across the system. You will be part of a wider OD network, contributing to both local and Board‑wide priorities.


Duration, Location, and Working Pattern

Fixed Term (23 months), Full Time.
Base Location: Templeton Business Centre.
Shift Pattern: 9 am to 5 pm.


Key Responsibilities

* Develop and implement Directorate and Service level organisational development plans aligned to strategic priorities.
* Design and deliver leadership development initiatives to build capability, capacity and culture across teams.
* Lead and support change management, service redesign and workforce transformation programmes.
* Act as a coach and mentor to leaders and managers, supporting performance and professional development.
* Facilitate team development, collaboration and multi‑agency working across complex service areas.
* Analyse organisational needs and design tailored OD interventions to improve service effectiveness.
* Work in partnership with HR, senior management and external stakeholders to deliver workforce and service improvements.


Knowledge, Training, Qualifications and/or Experience Required

* Degree‑level qualification in Organisational Development, HRD or equivalent such as CIPD.
* Significant senior experience within an OD or HRD role with a strong track record of delivery.
* Extensive knowledge of organisational development tools, methodologies and leadership frameworks.
* Proven experience in leading complex change programmes and service improvement initiatives.
* Excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills across diverse stakeholder groups.
* Experience of working collaboratively across multi‑agency or multidisciplinary environments.
* Strong analytical, problem‑solving and conflict resolution skills with the ability to manage ambiguity and complexity.
