The selected candidate will report to the Plant Manager and provide managerial and leadership support to the Procurement and Supply Chain Team to ensure Business Unit goals are met through the execution of procurement strategies. Procurement strategies include but are not limited to the security of supply, cost savings, process optimization, and supplier risk mitigation. The overall goal is to support the production schedule while obtaining the best value for supplies and services, maintaining compliance with company procedures.
Environmental Health & Safety Responsibilities
* Assist in implementing the company's EHS values and policies.
* Comply with all department, facility, corporate, and regulatory EH&S regulations.
* Wear all required personal protective equipment.
* Report all job-related illnesses and injuries.
* Report all safety, health, and environmental concerns promptly.
* Attend all EH&S training sessions.
Responsibilities
* Oversee plant procurement operations, including direct, indirect, and capital spend.
* Provide guidance to Plant Procurement Specialists and Supply Chain Planners.
* Collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, quality, finance, and other departments to align procurement strategies with plant and business unit goals.
* Manage supplier sourcing, negotiations, contracting, and execution of agreements.
* Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues as they arise.
* Communicate supplier issues to relevant stakeholders.
* Review procurement metrics and take necessary actions to meet targets.
* Ensure compliance with all auditing standards and regulations, including AS9100, ASAT, and others.
* Support Oracle procurement system processes and system enhancements.
* Manage raw material forecasting, inventory, costs, and BOM issues affecting inventory accuracy.
* Oversee Oracle transactions related to inventory and raw materials.
* Manage project teams and initiatives within procurement and supply chain.
* Balance competing priorities effectively, understanding deadlines and tensions within the business and with partners.
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, IT, Politics, Policy, Finance, Accounting, Data Science/Analytics, Marketing/Communication, Economics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
* Minimum 6 years of experience in procurement or supply chain roles.
* Knowledge of procurement and financial compliance standards (Sarbanes-Oxley, UCC laws, import/export laws, etc.).
* Legal authorization to work in the United States; verification required at hire. Visa sponsorship is not available.
* This position is subject to ITAR regulations, requiring U.S. person status.
Additional Qualifications:
* Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
* Ability to negotiate complex contracts.
* Experience with Oracle or similar enterprise systems.
* Willingness to visit the shop floor regularly.
* Customer-oriented approach.
