Job description
Our Client, A Large Public Sector Organisation based in Limavady require an Environmental Warden to join their team.
Hours of work : hrs per week -
Hourly Rate : 1-12 weeks £ 13 weeks + £
Main Duties :
1. To participate in the delivery of an effective Environmental Health Service which is customer focused, innovative and value for money.
2. To implement and enforce relevant statutory provisions in relation to Dog Control, Litter Control, other Environmental Protection legislation and relevant Council Byelaws for which you are personally authorised to enforce and to provide advice and make recommendations to the Public, Commercial and other Government Organisations.
3. To comply with all statutory and legislative requirements by adhering to these requirements and working in accordance with good governance and health and safety requirements.
4. Ensure that all responsibilities are carried out in a timely and effective manner and that general confidentiality is maintained in all areas relating to the work of the Council.

Essential Criteria :
5. Five GCSEs (Grades A-C), or equivalent, to include English Language.
And
6. Be able to demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples on the application form, one year's experience in an enforcement role to include enforcement of legislation.
Plus
7. Experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications to include: Word, Excel and Outlook.
8. Knowledge and understanding of current dog related and litter control legislation.
9. A full current driving licence (Category B, valid in the UK) and access to a vehicle that will enable the post holder to meet the requirements of the post OR have access to a form of transport that enables you to carry out the duties of the post.
10. Available for response in emergency situations as necessary.
Desirable Criteria :
11. Experience in dog handling in a professional capacity.
12. Experience in the use of the Environmental Health Software management package (Tascomi).
