We have an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HVAC Design Engineer to join a leading design consultancy specialising in high-integrity engineering solutions for the nuclear sector. The role involves contributing to the design and development of advanced ventilation and building services systems for complex, safety-critical environments, supporting major UK clean-up and new build projects.
This position would suit a highly skilled mechanical or building services engineer with strong HVAC design experience, ideally gained in nuclear, but other highly regulated sectors would be considered. It is perfect for someone who thrives on technical challenges, enjoys problem-solving, and values precision, safety, and innovation in their engineering work.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop advanced HVAC systems, including containment, glovebox, and process ventilation for nuclear and industrial facilities.
Undertake plant layout planning, 3D modelling, and design coordination using industry-standard software and BIM tools.
Support decommissioning and containment projects by developing bespoke air handling and ventilation solutions.
Conduct site surveys, airflow modelling, and performance analysis to optimise system design and compliance.
Produce comprehensive design documentation, including specifications, calculations, equipment schedules, and technical reports.
In return you'll be fully remote with occasional trips to high security sites. You'll have a salary up to £65k, 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays and a competitive package.
