About this Role:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Building Safety Compliance Manager to join our Compliance Team. This role is pivotal in ensuring our residential portfolio meets all current building safety legislation and best practice standards. You will manage key safety portals, liaise with stakeholders, and support remediation and resident engagement strategies across both High‑Rise (HRB) and Medium‑Rise Buildings (MRB). The role will support the delivery of cladding remediation and building safety projects under the Developer Pledge and Cladding Safety Scheme (CSS). You’ll play a key role in preparing funding applications, validating technical and financial documentation, and ensuring submissions are accurate and compliant. Once schemes are approved, you’ll help coordinate mobilisation, maintain project and financial trackers, reconcile accounts, and support drawdown requests.
Main Duties and Objectives:
Cladding Remediation
* Support funding applications under the DeveloperPledge and CSS
* Collate and validate technical and financial documentation
* Assist in mobilisation of approved remediation schemes
* Maintain project and financial trackers, budgets, and forecasts
* Reconcile accounts and support drawdown requests
* Verify contractor and consultant invoices with accounts teams
* Provide financial reports, highlighting risks and variances
* Act as key contact for leaseholders, developers, and contractors
* Draft clear resident communications and FAQs
* Liaise with Homes England, GLA, MHCLG, developers, and freeholders to share information
Fire Safety & Portal Management
* Manage Fire Service Portals and Monthly Operational Reports (MOR).
* Oversee CSS and BSF portal submissions and updates.
* Track and manage CSS and BSF payments.
Stakeholder Engagement
* Liaise with Local Authorities and Fire Services on building‑specific concerns.
* Engage with resident directors, leaseholders, and clients on building safety matters across all building heights.
* Attend leaseholder meetings to provide senior input on HRB safety issues.
Resident Engagement & Communication
* Managing complaints processes.
Remediation Project Management
* Manage remediation projects (CSS or developer‑funded) for both HRBs and MRBs.
Compliance Monitoring & Reporting
* Monitor and triage emails from key inboxes.
* Maintain and update HRB and MRB trackers on, including:
* Onboarding/offboarding buildings.
* Working with Compliance team to achieve The Golden Thread
* Logging key information and reporting to the Building Safety Team and Senior Management
* Oversight and support on KPIs and outstanding matters in regard to compliance and The Golden Thread.
Internal Coordination & Support
* Liaise with internal teams and local authorities on sites with enforcement notices.
* Assist with internal FRAEW (Fire Risk Appraisal of External Walls) management.
* Provide project management support to senior team members.
* Contribute to business development initiatives.
* Strong understanding of building safety legislation and compliance frameworks.
* Experience in stakeholder engagement, particularly with residents and local authorities.
* Project management experience, ideally in remediation or fire safety.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Proficiency in using compliance tracking systems (e.g. Dwellant) and Microsoft Office.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
