The Role
As a Maintenance Operatives Team Leader, you will help improve the lives of people using P3’s services by ensuring their living environments are safe, comfortable, and well‑maintained. You will work across sites in Cheltenham and Gloucester, carrying out tasks such as damp and mould surveys, fire door inspections, and maintenance priority planning. You will lead a small team of decorators and operatives, delegating tasks, providing technical support, and overseeing contractor work to meet deadlines and budgets. You will also drive improvements, track resources, and ensure properties remain safe and meet legal compliance including HHSRS.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct damp and mould surveys, fire door inspections, and maintenance planning at various sites.
* Lead and delegate tasks to a team of decorators and maintenance operatives.
* Provide technical support and oversee contractor work to ensure completion on time and within budget.
* Track resources and manage the repairs and replacement service, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality.
* Maintain compliance with legal standards, including HHSRS.
Requirements
* IOSH Managing Safely certification.
* City & Guilds qualification or NVQ Level 2 in at least one trade.
* Leadership experience in a similar maintenance role.
* Ability to work with a wide range of people and take initiative.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Standard DBS/DSCR check funded by P3.
