Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of vehicles. This role requires excellent customer service skills and the capability to work efficiently with both hand and power tools. As an Automotive Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction through high-quality repairs and maintenance.
Duties
* Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues using schematics and technical manuals.
* Perform repairs and maintenance on various automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
* Assemble components and systems as required for vehicle repairs.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks.
* Conduct routine inspections to ensure vehicles are in optimal working condition.
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
* Communicate effectively with customers regarding their vehicle's condition, necessary repairs, and maintenance recommendations.
* Assist in heavy lifting of automotive parts and equipment as needed.
* Collaborate with team members to improve service efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
* NVQ qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
* Full UK driving licence
* Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and a commitment to quality
