We have a fantastic new opportunity to join our Apprenticeships and Business Development department as a Data Analyst Skills Coach.
The role of the Skills Coach is to provide support, guidance, and to assess the vocational knowledge and competence of apprentices against national standards, ensuring they understand the technical knowledge and skills needed for their job roles.
This is a part-time role working 18.5 hours per week.
Responsibilities include:
* Undertake timely assessment of apprentices to national standards and record all assessment decisions to meet awarding body/professional body requirements in line with the assessment cycle.
* Manage a caseload of apprentices, setting SMART targets to ensure progress and achievement of all apprenticeship components.
* Conduct workplace observations and upload related activities and progress into the management system for accurate tracking.
* Plan and monitor on-the-job requirements with employers and apprentices to meet ESFA standards.
* Plan and conduct TLA visits every 4-6 weeks to meet ESFA requirements.
* Support apprentices requiring ALN/ALS and complete CognAssist interventions as needed.
* Conduct 12-weekly reviews with apprentices and employers, covering progress in knowledge, skills, behavior, personal development, and welfare.

Education & Training
* GCSE 4–9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in Maths and English, or be prepared to pass tests demonstrating level 2 ability before interview and achieve within an agreed timescale.
* Assessor Award or working towards it.
* Minimum of a Level 3 Qualification in a relevant subject.
Experience
* Strong knowledge of data tools and techniques (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, Power BI).
* Proven experience as a Data Analyst, Data Scientist, or similar role.
* Knowledge of Apprenticeship Standards.
* Experience in accurate and timely assessment in workplace/classroom settings.
