SEMH Learning Support Coach – Alternative Provision, Porchester
Location: Porchester Start Date: 13/10/2025 Pay: From £ Contract: Supply – Potential Temp to Perm
Prospero Teaching are working with a nurturing alternative provision in Porchester that supports secondary-aged students with high anxiety and complex SEMH needs. They’re looking for compassionate, resilient Learning Support Coaches to join their dedicated team and make a genuine impact.
This isn’t just a support role-it’s a chance to be a trusted adult for young people who’ve struggled to find their place in mainstream education. You’ll help them feel safe, heard, and capable of growth.

5. Experience with SEN/SEMH
What You’ll Be Doing
6. Supporting students with high anxiety and SEMH needs
7. Using trauma-informed approaches to manage behaviour
8. Building consistent, respectful relationships
9. Encouraging emotional regulation, self-esteem, and learning engagement
What We’re Looking For
10. A patient, empathetic, and flexible mindset
11. Experience with SEMH, anxiety, or communication challenges is a plus
12. Strong interpersonal skills and a team-first attitude
13. A commitment to helping students succeed-especially when it’s tough
Requirements
14. Right to work in the UK
15. Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
16. References covering the last 24 months
