Primary Teaching Assistant
A primary school in Stockport is looking for a part-time primary teaching assistant to support in classrooms across all areas and age groups to start as soon as possible. The school is looking for a teaching assistant to contribute to their nurturing environment with a passion for supporting children to achieve their full potential.
Role Description
- Provide learning support across all year groups, assisting in a variety of classroom settings.
- Support students both in whole class settings, smaller intervention groups and in 1-to-1 sessions as required.
- Responsible for the wellbeing and safeguarding of all students.
- Supporting targeted intervention in key subject areas such as phonics and maths.
- Assisting the class teacher with preparing resources and classroom management.
Role Requirements
- Experience working in an education/childcare setting.
- A passion for education and supporting children in their learning journey.
- Availability to work part-time on a regular weekly basis.
- Good command of the English language both written and verbal.
- Understanding of and desire to support children who may have additional learning needs.
- Desirable – A relevant TA qualification.

An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service is mandatory for this role. If you do not currently have one, you will need to apply through Teaching Personnel as part of the vetting process.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
