This position assists the manager by providing leadership and direction to assigned analysts on the ROPS special projects and analytics team. On top of supervisory responsibilities, this position will be responsible for leading and/or actively supporting the execution of strategic initiatives, process re-design, analytical report development, and special projects.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: YES
This position has supervisory responsibility and/or has input into decisions concerning the recruitment, training, professional development, performance management including termination, and retention of teammates necessary for the team to achieve key departmental goals and objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Teammate Supervision and Customer Service (60%)
1. Provide daily supervision, direction, mentoring, coaching, and performance management to teammates
2. Ensure high quality customer service according to department and company policy
3. Monitor team productivity and progress of specific area job functions
4. Determine staffing plans that promote the most effective use of all teammates
5. Establish, communicate, and ensure departmental goals and objectives are achieved
6. Address teammate relations issues appropriately and escalate to manager as necessary
7. Assist manager with teammate employment activity such as hiring, promoting, job performance, evaluations, PTO, and disciplinary action as required
8. Write and conduct teammate annual Performance Development Reviews (PDRs) as required
9. Maintain teammate records in compliance with DaVita policy's and any applicable laws
10. Understand and communicate DaVita company policies and procedures
11. Work with People Services and manager to recruit teammates with appropriate skills and experience
12. Know, understand, and follow DaVita teammate guidelines as well as local safety and security policies and procedures
Special Projects (25%)
13. Lead or actively participate in special projects
14. Serve as a liaison between the data analytics team and other departments to ensure business needs are met in an efficient and effective manner
15. Support the analytics team manager via business acumen and technical knowledge
16. Meet tight deadlines in a time sensitive and resource constrained project environment
17. Provide frequent updates to manager regarding the status of activities and initiatives
18. Assist with CQI (Continuous Quality Improvement) projects or other efforts designed to improve effectiveness/efficiency of the business
19. Identify system and process improvements opportunities and make recommendations
Analytics/Reporting (10%)
20. Perform root cause analysis on large amounts of datasets and create detailed reports for strategic business issues and opportunities
21. Identify system and process improvements and recommend process improvement plans
22. Provide accurate and timely reporting of performance metrics to the senior leadership team as required or scheduled
23. Maintain reporting continuity, integrity, and communication among analytical departments
Other Duties (5%)
24. Champion the DaVita Mission and Values both internally and externally
25. Attend team meetings, phone conferences, and training as scheduled or needed
26. Perform other duties as assigned or required
27. Travel required: up to 5%
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
28. Bachelor's degree required from accredited university with a focus in Business, Project Management, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or MIS, Health Administration10+ years of demonstrated experience in healthcare analytics may be substituted for a degree
29. Supervisory experience demonstrating willingness, desire, and ability to supervise with aptitude for coaching, mentoring, training, and developing teammate skills
30. Willingness and desire to create a team learning environment and to foster a positive, fulfilling work environment
31. Demonstrated ability to balance department efficiency and service excellence
32. Willingness to assist teammates in order to achieve departmental goals
33. Demonstrated strengths in teambuilding and leadership skills
34. Critical thinker with demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis, draw conclusions, solve problems, prepare and implement action plans, and lead improvement initiatives
35. Inquisitive and self-started with a high degree of initiative, urgency, attention to detail, and follow through
36. Solid data analysis experience - proficient in SQL, Excel, Access, or other analytical applications and be willing to learn new internal systems and tools
37. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with an acute ability to listen attentively and to communicate effectively throughout all levels of the organization
38. Demonstrated project management and/or consultative skills when addressing complex inquiries from teammates/customers
39. Proven ability to complete projects with tight deadlines and time constraints
40. Strong time management skills with the ability to manage/lead multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and in a multi-site environment
41. Demonstrated ability to function independently and as a member of a cross-functional group
42. Proven ability to own and be responsible for key projects and processes
43. Ability to make timely and quality decisions
44. Ability to influence peers and build strong relationships across departments/teams and can demonstrate poise and assertiveness in holding peers accountable
45. Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)

Salary/ Wage Range
$51,000.00 - $73,000.00 / year
Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
