An exciting secondment post opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic, dedicated, and skilled AMU Nurse to join our highly motivated team within our Acute Medical Unit.
The post holder will be required to coordinate a 53-bed area, including an Acute Medical Unit.
The post will assist with patient flow, support staff, and ensure a high standard of patient care across the ward area.
This post is a fixed-term/secondment for 12 months due to secondment cover. Interested applicants must obtain permission from their current line manager prior to applying.
The successful candidate will be part of a fantastic team managing a 53-bed area, including an 8-bed trolley assessment bay.
The candidate will be an experienced staff nurse providing support and guidance to junior team members.
Opportunities for training and development in managing acutely unwell patients are available within the unit.
Applicants should have relevant Acute Medical experience, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
The role requires excellent organisation, time management, and delegation skills, especially in challenging situations.
Welsh Skills (Desirable): While not essential, speaking and listening skills at Level 3 (CEFR B2) or above are considered an advantage. This involves basic conversations with patients about their health.
