Job Purpose:
You will deliver individual or multiple projects related to new works within allocated budgets and defined programmes. To be able to manage direct and subcontract labour and produce the required reports for all works.
What you'll do:
1. To ensure good site records and documentation is kept up to date.
2. Prepare specifications briefs in consultation with staff
3. To compete works as per the SOR and to work within the parameters of the work books.
4. Prepare extra work SOR’s and to work closely with the commercial teams to get these issued.
5. Prepare labour plans and update labour trackers with real life information
6. Manage work through to effective completion and submit for invoicing
7. Ensure all works are managed in accordance with EMCOR standard operating procedures and Health and Safety regulations
8. To ensure a weekly housekeeping check is completed of the building and grounds where it is your responsibility ensuring all the areas are in a safe condition and is hazard free
9. Ensure all RAMS are suitable and sufficient whether work is subcontracted or delivered by an in house team and are in place and adhered to
10. Co-ordinate the procurement and resource planning within the requirements of the contract needs
11. Ensure that all EMCOR quality control systems and procedures are implemented and maintained
12. Ensure appropriate record keeping in maintained and available for EMCOR and Client audits
13. Manage all Health and Safety matters (CDM) in accordance with EMCOR procedures and current relevant legislation
14. Take responsibility for the successful project completion and formal handover in accordance with defined requirements outlined by the client or nominated client representatives
15. To ensure compliance with all EMCOR policies and procedures are maintained
About the role
Who you'll be:
16. To hold an electrical qualification to Approved Electrician as a minimum.
17. Proven and extensive experience within a similar role
18. Operational and technical experience with demonstrated potential
19. Technical expertise, qualifications or apprenticeship in a craft skill or engineering discipline
20. Proven experience in Project Management
21. Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and safe working practices
22. Demonstrable skills in dealing and working closely with internal and external customers and suppliers on complex and interrelated issues on an ongoing basis
23. Hold SMSTS qualification
24. Hold JIB Gold and/or Black Card
