Are you an enthusiastic, motivated individual with high clinical standards and a commitment to delivery of excellent patient care? We are recruiting a Sonographer to join our friendly forward‑thinking team in delivering a high quality diagnostic ultrasound service.
Responsibilities
* Work across multiple sites: outpatient and day‑case surgery on the Leigh site, complex inpatient cases, general medical and obstetrics on the Wigan sites, and additional scan sites within the community.
* Perform a varied clinical skill mix including obstetrics, gynae/transvaginal, general medical scans and, if qualified, small parts / musculoskeletal (MSK) scans.
* Take part in combined screening for obstetrics and participate in regular clinical governance and audit activities.
* Participate in a student training programme within our academic hub and support staff and service development.
Qualifications
* Demonstrated clinical skill in obstetrics, gynae/transvaginal and general medical scanning.
* Experience in MSK and small part scans is desirable.
* For obstetrics work, the ability to take part in combined screening and a DQASS sonographer code are essential.
* Original qualifications must be presented at interview.
