The Workforce Planning Team is a small, high-profile team within Central Operations, working closely with the Retail and Pharmacy teams to support more than 1,800 stores. The work we do directly shapes colleague investment decisions across the business, and directly contributes towards building an unbeatable Boots.

You will have a unique opportunity to contribute to the strategic planning of colleague investment for a population of over 35,000 colleagues across Boots UK and ROI.

We are looking for a Workforce Analyst to join the Workforce Planning – Stores team. You will support the Workforce Manager in delivering workload and salary planning for all Boots stores, ensuring we have the right people in the right place at the right time to deliver services for our customers.

What you'll be doing

As a Workforce Analyst, you will apply your strengths in data analysis and process mapping to help develop accurate workload models and store-level salary budgets. You will support the wider workforce planning agenda across Boots UK and ROI.

Key responsibilities

• You will model forecasted workload for each store using complex datasets from across the organisation.

• You will calculate required salary budgets and colleague investment profiles based on store-level workload needs.

• You can interpret complex data streams, turning them into clear insights.

• You will help develop business cases across the Business Units.

• You will identify opportunities for continuous improvement through a combination of data analysis and practical understanding of retail operations.

What you'll need to have (our must-haves)

• Confidence working with complex datasets, with high proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Ability to simplify complex processes, with a continuous improvement mindset

• Flexibility to balance long-term project work with short-term, ad‑hoc tasks.

• Ability to understand real-world operational activity and translate it into accurate, data-driven process maps.

It would be great if you also have

• Experience with IBM Planning Analytics / TMI, VBA, Power BI or Power Automate (desirable but not essential).

• Previous experience in Workforce Planning (desirable but not essential).
